AETERNA is a large Colonial network in Everspace and Everspace 2. It connects almost all Colonial operations, including cloning facilities such as where Adam Roslin clones were produced and uses HIVE units as communication outlets. As part of the cloning process, it handled the transfer of memories and skills to the clones from the original.
AETERNA houses the entire Colonial knowledge database, however will only share what is permitted by rank or clearance of its user. It and the HIVE units are overseen by human controllers with a kill switch in the case of dangerous conclusions drawn from its computing power.
