Autocannons are a primary weapon type in Everspace 2 that fires high-velocity projectiles dealing primarily kinetic damage. They have a short rev-up time before they can be fired.

- Damage and energy-related stats of all primary weapons scale exponentially with item level (including bonus levels from rarities and grades), with exponential bases of 1.13, 1.16, and 1.14 applying to damage, energy capacity, and energy consumption, respectively.
- Ramp-up time for this weapon is approx. 0.28s with a Swift prefix.
- The Nemesis-B9 starter Sentinel stolen by Adam at the start of Flying Blind comes with a procedurally generated Level 1 Common Autocannon (which may or may not have a prefix).
- All Autocannon variants have a chance to generate with one or more of the following type-specific modifiers:
- Damage is increased by 10% every second fire is held up to a maximum of 100%.
