The Codex is a repository of information in Everspace 2 that can be accessed via the data tab in the menu. It has four sections: "The Story So Far", Characters, "World", and lastly "Guides and Tutorials".
The Story So Far[]
This section is a recap of various aspects of the main story, unlocked as the player progresses through the main missions. Associated cutscene videos are available for a re-watch.
Characters[]
This section contains a list of all major and minor characters encountered so far, with details on their name, birth, current whereabouts, and an overview of their life.
World[]
This section contains information on several different aspects of Everspace 2, including Factions, major locations, weapons, and ships, along with some other miscellaneous entries.
Guides and Tutorials[]
This section contains an entry for each tutorial pop-up that the player has seen so far so it can be read again.
