Everspace-Component-UI

The component UI in-game.

Components are critical parts of your ship. They can be randomly damaged or destroyed if your hull is damaged enough. If they are, your ship will be debuffed in whatever area got damaged. You can reduce the chance of a component being damaged with the Component Damage Chance Perk, and the repair costs can be decreased with the Component Damage Repair Costs Perk.

Primary Weapons

When damaged, they are going to shoot slower and drain more energy than normal.

Resources needed to repair them:

Shield Generator

When damaged, it is going to recharge 75% slower than normal and shutdown time will be longer.

Engine

When damaged, the ship goes slower.

  • Maximum speed: -50%
  • Maximum acceleration: -50%

Secondary Weapons

When damaged, they can't be used.

Sensor

When damaged, you don't receive information of your surroundings, such as boxes, minable spots, floating resources, or targets. You can't even target.

Life Support System

When damaged, a slowly reducing % counter appears. When it reaches 0% you die.

Inertia Dampeners

When damaged, the ship will keep its momentum and won't stop its movement after thrusting in any direction (up, down, left, right, forward, backwards), risking crashing against the enviroment when you are inside tight spots.
