It's an extraction job in Yawen Orbit. We have a client who is willing to pay handsomely.

Freelancer Agent

This mission involves going to a site with multiple Outlaw bases and hacking data from several data terminals within them. The general principle is simple: Go to each terminal, hack the data, once they're all done return to the mission agent for the reward. However, there are two key factors:

• The data hack of a terminal takes approximately 60-90 seconds and your ship must stay very close to the terminal (approximately 200m) for HIVE to perform the hack; if you move too far away the connection is broken and has to be restarted.
• While you are hacking a terminal, Outlaws will constantly warp in and attack you.

Having to stay close to the terminal for the hack forces you to not be able to dodge inbound attacks. This in turn means that a sizeable number of ship classes that rely more on dodging or long range instead of tanking for their defense will be nearly incapable of surviving this mission. You do have some options for positioning your ship so that base structures can at least partially cover you from some attack angles, but you will still need a ship that is capable of handling a frontline slug-fest such as a Bomber.

Notes & Trivia

If you find this mission especially difficult it is possible to carefully position yourself somewhere inside the structures (see gallery images below) with the terminals (even with a heavy ship), making it extremely hard for the enemies to hit you (a stray shoot here and there might scratch the shield), it's then possible to target and kill the enemies with Corrosion Injector or Annihilator Virus, the former has greater range. You can also use camera mode (Z) to find a suitable spot without having to worry about getting blasted to pieces.
