Detoxification is a side mission in Everspace 2. This is a follow-up to The Convert. Adam is contacted again by Imogen and is asked to help her father's research team with healing Redeemers.

Objectives & Walkthrough

• Visit the settlement at Avonrest
• Go to The Ascension
• Equip Exorcist Missiles
• Shoot a Redeemer several times in a row with the Exorcist
  • The missiles have a long initial lock on time, so be patient and keep a safe distance while keeping the Redeemer in view.
• Defeat the Redeemer
• Defeat the Redeemer reinforcements (4)
  • Bernard can be killed by the Redeemers, causing the mission to fail
• Get a refill for the Exorcist from Bernard
• Shoot a Redeemer several times in a row with the Exorcist
• Defeat the Redeemer
• Defeat the Redeemer reinforcements (5)
• Get a refill for the Exorcist from Bernard
• Shoot a Redeemer several times in a row with the Exorcist

Codex

1. Imogen called me. Her father and his team may have found something that could help with the Redeemers. I need to travel to Avonrest if I want to know more about this.
2. It looks like they need me to test some sort of weapon that could disrupt the link between the Ancients and the Redeemers. If this is true, there is the possibility to heal those poor souls. Seems worth trying.
3. I arrived at the location where we expect to encounter some Redeemer activity. I just have to find Imogen's father. He's probably already here somewhere.
4. Bernard dropped the experimental weapon they named the 'Exorcist'. I just need to pick it up.
5. Bernard says that I need to shoot a single Redeemer multiple times with the Exorcist.
6. The missiles are depleted. I need to fly to Bernard, so he can refill them.
7. The Exorcist didn't work. Bernard wants to recalibrate the weapon. Unfortunately there's nothing I can do for the poor Redeemer.
8. Our experiments have raised the attention of more Redeemers. I'll need to defend us!
9. Another wave of Redeemers have appeared! We really have to be more careful if we want to survive this whole operation.
10. The third try had some effect. I just need to wait and see what happens next.
11. Third time's the charm! The Exorcist had an effect. Even though it didn't last that long, Bernard was optimistic that we made some progress in understanding. I really hope that this technique works someday.
