Emergency Shield is a passive device in Everspace. It essentially grants a second chance at surviving a fight, possibly allowing a quick escape or enough hull repair (with sufficient nanobots to survive the rest of the fight. It automatically activates when the player's ship would otherwise be destroyed, leaving it with 1 hull hitpoint remaining. It has three variants, with the Emergency Shield Mk2 and Emergency Shield Mk3 being upgraded versions of the base Emergency Shield.
