Energy orbs are a mechanic in Everspace 2 unlocked by levelling up Delia's energy orb perk. They are sometimes released by destroying enemies and have various positive effects on the player when collected.

Level effects[]

See Perks (ES2) for the resource costs.

  1. Destroying ships will sometimes set free energy orbs that replenish some weapon and boost energy when collected.
  2. Energy orbs will also replenish some armor.
  3. Energy orbs will also replenish some shield energy.
  4. Destroying ships, especially Elites, will sometimes set free a rare orb that grants a little more weapon and boost energy, and a 20% increase to handling and ship speed for 10.0s.
    1. Regular energy orbs are blue, rare orbs are purple.
  5. Energy orbs will move towards you from a greater distance.
  6. Rare orbs will also charge the ship's ULT.

Interactions[]

  • Inteceptors can have two energy orb passives:
    • Collecting an energy orb grants +1% increased critical hit chance for 6 seconds, up to 20%.
    • While Weapon Overdrive is active, gain 100% increased energy orb collection range. [Exclusive]
  • Sentinels can have one energy orb passive:
    • Collecting an energy orb deploys an energy shield for 2s.
  • The Stormchaser Set has multiple energy orb effects:
    • 2/4 set bonus: 25% increased energy orb drop chance.
    • 3/4 set bonus: When collecting an energy orb, reflect 4% of incoming damage back to your attackers for 20s. Stacks up to 40%.
    • Stratocumulus shield special passive: While shield is active, gain 2000m range pull for energy orbs.
