Equipment sets in Everspace 2 are groups of linked equipment pieces that provide various unique bonuses when equipped together. More bonuses are provided as more pieces of the set are equipped, starting at two equipped. Typically they are linked by some sort of theme, or based on major or minor Factions - and drop specifically from those faction enemies.
All pieces in a set will likely be of the same rarity.
