Everspace 2 is a fast-paced open-world space shooter developed by Rockfish Games, on PC and console platforms. It is the direct sequel to Everspace, but left the rogue-lite elements behind.

- Some key points of development were only available to certain backer tiers:
- Prototype, released December 17th, 2019. Originally available to backers of the "Standard Edition" (€40) tier or higher, it was made available to be publicly downloaded on Steam after a few weeks until it was removed and eventually replaced with a new demo after v0.6.20667.
- Closed Alpha, released June 15th, 2020. Available to backers of the "First Flush Edition" (€80) tier or higher.
- Closed Beta, released September 25, 2020. Available to backers of the "Early Adopter Edition" (€70) tier or higher, and the "Just the Game, Please!" (€30) tier or higher as of November 2nd, 2020.
- Early Access launch (Steam and GOG), released January 18, 2021 (v0.4.16214).
