The Front Shield Generator (ES2) is a support device. It projects an impenetrable shield (yellow color) toward the front of the ship for at least 15.0 seconds with a 36s or shorter cooldown.
Stat Scaling[ | ]
Several of Front Shield Generator's stats, including its effect duration and base cooldown, scale with device level as follows (level 6 is obtainable only via Stinger's Device Master special):

Modes[ | ]
Using device upgrade tokens to purchase 4 device levels on Front Shield Generator masters the device, unlocking three additional device modes which may be cycled through at any time.
- Avenger: Reflects blocked shots back at attackers. Changes the shield's color to blue.
- All Day: Blocked damage is converted into weapon energy. Changes the shield's color to red.
- On Your Left: Shield is 25% smaller but will automatically turn towards the closest enemy facing you. Changes the shield's color to white.
Obtaining[ | ]
- Khosh Orbit - found in a bulletproof container behind a shield, in a cave adjacent to the signal origin location visited during X Marks the Spot.
- Coalition Cargo Terminal (Drake) - offered at Ships & Supplies for 2,650 credits.
Tips and tricks[ | ]
- Blocking two Sniper Drone shots in a single activation awards the "I Don't Like Bullies" achievement.
- Can be two shots from the same sniper drone.
