The Fusion Hook is a support device. It attaches to surfaces within 2000m and pulls the user toward the target location at high speed with a 12s or shorter cooldown. The device starts with 2 charges, but can gain more with device levels.
Stat Scaling[ | ]
Several of Fusion Hook's stats, including its range and number of charges, scale with device level as follows (level 6 is obtainable only via Stinger's Device Master special):
Device Level | 1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5 | 6 |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
Range | 2000m | 2200m | 2400m | 2600m | 2800m | 3000m |
Number of Charges | 2 | 2 | 3 | 3 | 4 | 4 |
Base Cooldown* | 12s | 11s | 10s | 9s | 8s | 7s |
- The cooldown is how long it takes for one charge to recharge. There is no cooldown between activations themselves.
Modes[ | ]
Using device upgrade tokens to purchase 4 device levels on Fusion Hook masters the device, unlocking three additional device modes which may be cycled through at any time.
- Kunai: Targeting an enemy closer than 5000m will pull them toward the user.
- Arachnid: Adds one additional charge.
- Reach Extender: Increases the range by 30%.
Obtaining[ | ]
Tips and tricks[ | ]
- Kunai is useful for pulling Outlaw Sniper Drones
- Reach Extender increases the range to 3640 meters (3900 if piloting a Stinger).
- Keeping the Fusion Hook tethered for 10 seconds during a single activation awards the "Spin Me Right 'Round" achievement.
- Reach Extender (and starting from as far away as possible), boosting backwards, and toggling inertial dampeners off may help with this challenge.
- The hook will disengage if the crosshair isn't close enough to the targeted location.
