Gauss Cannons are a primary weapon type in Everspace 2 that slowly ramp up their fire rate and spread while firing and deal high energy and kinetic damage.

- Damage and energy-related stats of all primary weapons scale exponentially with item level (including bonus levels from rarities and prefixes), with exponential bases of 1.13, 1.16, and 1.14 applying to damage, energy capacity, and energy consumption, respectively.
- Displayed DPS and fire rate is the maximum value after ramp-up.
- Gauss Cannon has a chance to generate with the following type-specific modifier:
- 5% chance to disable the target's shield for 2 seconds with each hit.
