Mines are a secondary weapon type in Everspace 2 that explodes for a burst of damage in a medium area of effect when an enemy gets close enough to trigger its detonation.

- Damage stats of all secondary weapons scale exponentially with item level (including bonus levels from rarities and prefixes) by an exponential base of 1.13 (adds 13% of the current damage value when item level is increased by 1).
- Effect range scales exponentially with item level by an exponential base of 1.02.
Hostile Mines[ | ]
Non-player hostile mines are frequently encountered throughout the game, either as enemy equipment or in minefields in certain locations. When done quickly before detonation, all hostile mines can be grabbed when they are within a 100m range of the player and converted to an allied mine, which can be thrown away safely or used against other enemies.
Certain Supralight events and Jobs also require clearing mines.
Mines can be seen more easily with the Sensor modifier "Tag mines at 1500m range."
