Okkar Prime Phantom Drones are a drone-class Okkar Prime enemy in Everspace 2. They are generally cloaked and only become visible when their shield is depleted. When visible, they are identified on the heads-up display by a ring with a diamond icon. They are equipped with a Blaster and often accompany other Okkar Prime ships on patrols.
They can only be encountered in the Okkar homeworlds.
Characteristics & Behavior[]
Okkar Prime Phantom Drones are cloaked as long as their shield is not depleted and cannot be locked as target by the player. They do not become visible when they attack. Hence, it is difficult to detect and shoot at them, especially in hectic battles with many ships. The Phantom Drones tend to come very close to the player.
Strategy[]
When fighting exclusively with Okkar Prime or Okkar a reddish Blaster fire is a strong indicator for the presence of this enemy.
Although they cannot be locked as target by the player, some weapons and perks still manage to automatically aim at them. The Smart Gauss and Faithstrike Missiles shoot at the Phantom Drones. Additionally the Retaliation and Ride the Lightning Perks target the Phantom Drone.
