Outlaw Bomb Throwers are an Outlaw enemy in Everspace 2, one of the turret variants attached to Outlaw structures. They slowly shoot barrel-shaped bombs at the player which disable the player's shields.
Strategy[]
Nearly all bomb throwers have a strong shield which is able to regenerate very quickly, making it difficult to destroy with standard weaponry. The shield can be disabled by grabbing and throwing one of the bomb thrower's bombs right back at it, which disables the shield for a few seconds. It can also be disabled by ramming it with your ship.
Bomb Throwers only have a small amount of health and alternative strategies are possible:
- Using Corrosion missiles, Corrosion Mines or the Corrosion Injector device, to completely bypass the shield.
- Weapons with sufficiently high DPS can potentially outpace the shield regeneration as a brute force strategy.
- Weapons with a "% chance to disable the target's shields" modifier can also work quite well.
