Paving the Way is a main mission in Everspace 2.
Objectives & Walkthrough[ | ]
- Visit homebase
- The Spatial Bypass will pull Adam into an Ancient Rift before he can dock. Fail or complete the rift to continue the story and return to dock at homebase.
- Go to Drake Passage
- Enter the gate
- Grab gas tanks from nearby dispensers and hold them in front of air vents until the open and suck in the tank, causing an explosion
- Defeat the security guard
- During the damaging force field survival phases, if you quickly fly forwards and get very close to/under the structure, none of the force fields will hit you
- After several dogfight and force field phases, the guard will concede and end the fight
- Enter the wormhole
- Get to Maddocks & Eduardo in time [2:00]
- Mission fails if you do get to Leon Orbit before the timer runs out (there is plenty of time, just don't do any other exploring yet)
- Take out the targets (6)
- Dock with the freighter

- While Tareen and I were talking to Emissary Sareth, Maddocks & Eduardo left base and headed towards the comet on their own. I need to go after them!

- While Tareen and I were talking to Emissary Sareth, Maddocks & Eduardo left base and headed for the Drake system to mine the comet on their own.
I went after them but Roslin and the G&B Elite Squad got to them first. Not only was Maddocks killed in action but they were also able to extract the trajectory of the comet from Eduardo's cyberbrain. This is bad, but at least Ben is confident to be able to patch him up again.

- Completing this mission is a prerequisite for the fourth G&B Broadcast.
