Retaliator Detonator Drones are a drone-class Retaliator enemy in Everspace 2. They are identified on the heads-up display by a ring with an explosion icon.
Characteristics & Behavior[]
Detonator Drones, whether pre-existing or spawned by Retaliator Drone Carriers, charge toward the player, making a distinct chime that increases in pitch and frequency the closer they get, in an attempt to set off a point-blank explosion for massive damage and a huge build up of the Frozen condition.
Strategy[]
Due to their low toughness and typically high number, fast firing weapons are best used to destory this enemy. Disabling/jamming conditions may be used to temporarily halt their self-detonation.
