| For Corrosion Missiles in Everspace, see Corrosion Missile. |
Scorpion Missiles are a secondary weapon in Everspace 2, a variant of Corrosion Missiles. Shortly after firing at a locked target, it will instantly hit the target, inflicting shield-bypassing kinetic damage over time. Compared to Corrosion Missiles, Scorpion Missiles have increased range (+500m) and ammo capacity (+2), but at the cost of reduced fire rate (-0.2/s) and kinetic damage.
The actual effective damage rate per individual missile is 25% of the shown damage per second, lasting for 8 seconds and the Corrosion from multiple missiles stacks. If a target suffers the Corrosion for the entire duration it will take a total of double the missile's shown baseline damage. While in terms of raw DPS this is definitely slower than other missiles, the total potential damage per individual missile is rather impressive compared to other Secondaries.
Notes[]
- Damage stats of all secondary weapons scale exponentially with item level (including bonus levels from rarities and prefixes) by an exponential base of 1.13 (adds 13% of the current damage value when item level is increased by 1).
- Rather than being applied normally as direct damage, the weapon's listed kinetic damage instead scales the potency of a shield-bypassing corrosion condition which can be stacked multiple times on the same target.
- Some enemies that also use Corrosion-type weapons such as Outlaw Vipers are IMMUNE to this weapon completely. Ancient Wardens are also able to evade them, teleporting themselves away just before the missile strikes as each Scorpion Missile can only teleport once.
- Can only be crafted at or generated with uncommon rarity or higher.
