Designed for quickly engaging multi-target entanglements, the Striker-class fighter prioritizes damage output as more enemies enter the fray, while specialized thrust generation gets you there.
+5% increased weapon damage for each enemy within 500m, up to 30%.
Turns the target into a tether anchor that connects them with up to 5 surrounding enemies who will also receive all damage applied to the target. Damage increases by 5% with each tethered enemy.

The Striker is a subclass of medium fighter class ship in Everspace 2 that is intended to focus on close combat, dog-fight style engagements.

Special[]

Close Combat: +5% increased weapon damage for each enemy within 500m up to 30%

Ultimate Ability (ULT)[]

Quantum Tether: Turns the target into a tether anchor that connects them with up to 5 surrounding enemies who will also receive all damage applied to the target. Damage increases by 5% with each tethered enemy.

Passives[]

The following passive effects are currently available for Strikers. A ship can only have one of the two exclusive passives.

  • 30% increased boost speed while under missile lock.
  • Locked enemy targets suffer 20% speed reduction.
  • Can grab and throw drones.
  • Activating Quantum Tether instantly repairs 50% of armor.
  • Enemies within 300m cannot regenerate shields.
  • 60% reduced self-damage.
  • Enemies within 1km range deal 20% less damage.
  • 20% debuff duration reduction. [Exclusive]
  • 20% hull damage reduction. [Exclusive]

Tactical Analysis[]

Sounds decent on paper, but against strong at-level enemy forces (such as an at-level Superior High-risk Area against Redeemers) it does not work well in practice. It does not have the toughness to endure the close-range combat required for its passives and Ultimate to work, nor the damage output required to fuel its Ultimate quickly for repeated use, nor the speed needed to evade enemy fire.
