X Marks the Spot is a main mission in Everspace 2.
Objectives & Walkthrough[ | ]
- Open the jumpgate to Khaït Nebula
- Find out where Maddocks last saw Eduardo
- Investigate the area
- Locate the source of the signal (Khosh Orbit, 2x)
- Align your ship correctly
- The louder the static/buzzing noise, the closer you are to the correct alignment
- Align your ship correctly
- Get rid of all jellyfish creatures in the vicinity
- Locate the source of the signal (Athorian Fault, 3x)
- Some of the signal sources are in caves in the asteroids, blocked by root walls. Look for acid pouches nearby to grab, pull one off (most easily done by boosting backwards at an angle, strafing left or right), then throw at the root walls to temporarily destroy them. Be wary of corrosion damage at low hull hp when near the acid pouches.
- Go to Chabar Tower
- Open the Ancient Structure
- Align lenses with glowing crystals to repair parts of the structure, revealing more lenses.
- Defeat the Ancient Warden
- Locate the Source of the signal (Chabar Tower, 1x)
- Found in front of an entrance to the structure near its center
- Go to Athor 1

- Maddocks asked me to locate his partner Eduardo, who is key in their plan to mine a large amount of Viridium. Unfortunately, his exact location is unknown.

- After an extensive search through the Khaït Nebula, I finally managed to locate Eduardo on Athor I.
